"Schritt-für-Schritt: Ninebot G2D Max Akku richtig ausbauen"

#Anleitung#G2D Max#Akku Ausbau#Reparatur

Before you start: find a clean, dry spot. Nothing is worse than a tiny screw disappearing into the carpet or dirt falling directly into the battery compartment. And most importantly: turn the scooter off completely! Obvious, right? But easily forgotten in the heat of the moment.

Step 1: The Base Plate – Accessing the Core

Carefully turn the scooter upside down. In the workshop, we usually put a rubber mat or an old towel underneath to prevent the grips and display from getting scratched. Now for the Torx screws. The G2D Max uses Security Torx (the ones with the little pin in the middle).

Pro Tip: Apply firm pressure to the screwdriver before turning. These screws are often very tight from the factory and strip easily if you slip.

What we often see...

Many underestimate the seal. When you lift the plate, the grey sealant often sticks. Don't rip it off violently; lift it carefully with a flat plastic spatula.

Step 2: Disconnecting Cables (High Voltage!)

Now you'll see the massive battery block. Before loosening the brackets, the cables have to go. Most importantly: **Always disconnect the yellow XT60 plug (power supply) first!** Only then disconnect the control lines (BMS cables). Why? This prevents the electronics from getting a surge while you're working.

The plugs can be really tight. Wiggle them carefully, but never pull directly on the wires – always pull on the plastic housing of the plug.

Step 3: Lifting the Battery from the Frame

The G2D Max battery is secured directly to the frame with several screws. Once those are out, you can lift the block out. But watch out: the thing is heavier than it looks (classic 'Tank').

If you're removing it because it's weak, think twice about buying a new one immediately. In our experience, a cell swap is often the better choice because you can often install higher-quality cells than the originals.

What do I do with the old seal?
Honestly? Replace it. Once it's been opened, it often doesn't seal 100% anymore. A bit of silicone or a new rubber seal will save your life during the next puddle.
Can I install a larger battery?
Space-wise, the G2D Max is pretty much maxed out. Usually, not much fits without modifying the housing. We recommend keeping efficiency high through good <a href='https://escooterreparaturen.de/de/ratgeber/e-scooter-reifen/e-scooter-reifendruck-warum-ein-bisschen-luft-die-teuerste-reparatur-verhindert'>tire maintenance</a> instead.

Battery out, now what?

Just send us your removed battery! We'll professionally check the cells and get it back in top shape.
