Why Standard Lights Often Fall Short
Let's be real: the built-in lights on many scooters are more... well, decorative. If you're commuting from Ludwigsburg to Stuttgart in the dark, you'll quickly realize that a tiny light on the handlebar isn't enough to spot potholes in time. And being seen is everything in our local weather conditions.
In our Ludwigsburg workshop, we often see customers whose lights just quit after a bumpy ride over cobblestones. It's usually just a loose wire, but without light, your ride is basically over.
StVZO Check: What's Legal?
Regulations in Germany are quite strict. You need a fixed front light (white) and rear light (red). Extra lights are great for visibility but shouldn't blind others. Check our safety guide for more legal setup tips.

Our Pro Tricks for Better Visibility
What we often see: people buying cheap LED strips as a tuning gadget. Looks cool, but usually illegal on roads and drains your main battery. Better invest in a high-quality front light with a proper cut-off line. Don't try soldering on the controller yourself if the internal light is broken – it's easy to fry things!
