Why standard tires fail in the rain (and how we fix it)
Anyone who has ever zoomed across Ludwigsburg's market square or the wet cycle paths towards Stuttgart in drizzling rain knows that sinking feeling. The original tires on the Ninebot G30D are durable, but in the wet, they quickly turn into ice skates. And with the new powerhouse, the Ninebot ZT3, there's a lot of torque involved – so you definitely need proper grip.
In our workshop, we often see customers who end up with us after a minor slip. Usually, luckily, it's just the brake lever that gets damaged. But why let it get that far? All-season tires have a softer rubber compound and a tread that actually displaces water instead of just floating on it. That's not a marketing gimmick; you feel it the first time you brake on damp asphalt.

Especially with the ZT3, we notice: if you commute in autumn and winter, you can't really avoid all-season tires. Safety increases enormously.
